Refund Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Project deposits
Any deposit or upfront payment is used to reserve project time and begin planning or production. It is generally non-refundable once work has started, unless a written project agreement states otherwise.
Cancellation before work begins
If you cancel before work begins, contact SMD Labs as soon as possible. Any refund will be considered after deducting committed third-party costs, preparation time, and payment processing fees.
Cancellation after work begins
If a project is cancelled after work begins, you may be charged for work completed and costs already incurred. Any unused balance will be reviewed according to the agreed scope and payment schedule.
Revisions and corrections
Requests that fall within the agreed revision scope are handled as part of the project. New features, changed requirements, or work outside the agreed scope may require a new quote and are not grounds for a refund.
How to request a review
Send a clear description of your request through the contact section. Refund decisions are reviewed individually against the written project agreement and the work delivered.
